Brendan McAteer, Au.D., Owner of Waveform Audiology

Dr. Brendan McAteer is a Sensaphonics Gold Circle Music Audiologist, clinical audiologist, and lifelong musician serving the Tampa Bay and Nature Coast regions. As the founder of Waveform Audiology, he specializes in musicians’ hearing protection, tinnitus treatment, hyperacusis management, and hearing conservation.

Dr. McAteer has over 10 years of clinical experience and a strong background in music, giving him a unique ability to help musicians, audio engineers, performers, and everyday listeners protect and improve their hearing. He offers mobile audiology services, custom earplugs and in-ear monitor impressions, hearing wellness exams, hearing conservation plans, and evidence-based tinnitus care.



Education: Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.), University of South Florida, 2015

Military Service: United States Air Force Veteran (2002–2006)

Outside of audiology, Dr. McAteer enjoys spending time with his family, working out, training Brazilian jiu-jitsu (when he can find time), and discovering great restaurants across Tampa Bay. He proudly lives in the area with his wife, three daughters, son, and two dogs.
